Cheers to Dad

My husband Shaun loves cocktails.

He enjoys experimenting with unique ingredients and crafting flavorful concoctions in the kitchen. He even whips up tasty mocktails for the kids!

In honor of Father’s Day, and the best Dad/Husband around, I want to share some of Shaun’s favorite cocktails -

RMOO Aperol Spritz

A bit sweeter than your average Aperol Spritz because of the addition of Cara Cara Orange Vanilla Balsamic. Reduce the amount if you like it less sweet!

  1. Fill a wine glass with ice.
  2. Pour in the Prosecco and balsamic, then the Aperol and club soda.
  3. Ganish with an orange slice and serve.

Key Lime Gin & Tonic

Shaun and I love a good G&T, and when Shaun had the great idea to add Key Lime White Balsamic to the recipe, we instantly knew we had stumbled upon something great.

 Wild Raspberry Hibiscus Mocktail

This alcohol-free drink is refreshing and bright. Perfect for the entire family to enjoy on sunny afternoons by the pool.

Chocolate Old Fashioned

This chocolate twist on a classic is the perfect way to unwind after a long day. If you want a sweeter version, add a bit of Dark Chocolate Dark Balsamic Vinegar.

I N G R E D I E N T S:

  • ½ teaspoon Grind Spice Co. Dark Chocolate Salt
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • ½ oz chocolate liqueur
  • 2 oz bourbon
  • 4-6 dashes of chocolate bitters
  • 2 dashes orange bitters
  • 1 piece oranges zest for garnish

I N S T R U C T I O N S:

  1. Mix together the Dark Chocolate Salt and sugar. Then rim a rocks glass with the mixture.
  2. Add the chocolate liqueur and bourbon to the rimmed glass. Carefully lower in a large ice cube. Top the drink with the bitters. Garnish with the orange zest.
  3. Just before drinking twist the zest over the drink to release its aroma and essential oils. Then indulge.
