Believe it or not, it’s already pumpkin spice season!
The popular Pumpkin Spice Latte – or PSL – was first debuted by Starbucks in 2003. Now, it’s everywhere! You can’t call yourself a “real” coffee shop without offering at least one pumpkin spice-themed drink each fall. We even have a few local shops that offer entire menus of pumpkin spice beverages and goodies!
As much as we all love our Pumpkin Spice Lattes, let's take pumpkin spice out of the coffee cup and into the culinary world!
We carry a number of pumpkin spice products to warm you up as the temperatures cool:
Pumpkin Pie Spiced White Balsamic Vinegar combines allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon and zesty white balsamic to create a festive blend that makes an excellent addition to autumn dishes.
We also carry our version of the classic Pumpkin Pie Spice! A bit of spicy ginger and warm nutmeg in this spice blend give it a kick that delightfully complements the aromatic qualities of cinnamon, clove and allspice.
For those of you who love spicy and sweet, we also have Pumpkin Spice Sugar, meaning you can have all flavors of fall in your favorite desserts and baked goods.
So, in between sips of your pumpkin spice lattes, stop by our store to snag one (or all!) of these products and try out the recipes below:
The Classics:
Roasted butternut squash is a simple, yet tasty recipe is brimming with fall flavors! Made with our Wild Mushroom & Sage Olive Oil and Pumpkin Spice Balsamic, each bite offers earthy, aromatic notes complementing the natural sweetness of the butternut squash. We love doubling or even tripling this dish and then using the leftovers in salads for lunch.
We also like to double or triple the recipe for classic pumpkin bread because it never lasts long in our house. We’ll slather the bread with butter and then drizzle it with Dark Balsamic for a decadent snack. Then we use the leftovers to create a fall-themed breakfast casserole.
Fall-Flavored Dressing:
Autumn-ize your salads with this easy Smoked Pumpkin Balsamic Vinegar Dressing! The sweet, tangy flavor of our Pumpkin Balsamic Vinegar mixes with the smokey, earthiness of our Olive Wood Smoked Infused Olive Oil. Combine that with the creaminess of yogurt and you have a staggeringly good dressing.
Autumnal Booze:
When we host friends for Halloween or Thanksgiving, Spiked Pumpkin Spiced Apple Cider, is always on the menu. Incredibly simple to make for yourself or for a crowd, this recipe showcases the best of fall flavors – apples, pumpkin and spice.
Other boozy options for when the chill nips the air include a scrumptious Pumpkin Pie Balsamic Martini and hearty Pumpkin Spice Old Fashioned.
Happy Pumpkin Spice Season and happy Fall!
Caio!
